Hanging Feather Ball Cat Toy

A hanging teaser built around a lightweight foam ball wrapped in bright concentric stripes, with a spray of dyed feathers glued into the base and a small steel jingle bell threaded onto the cord above it. The cord is a stretchy elastic with a loop at the top, so it can be tied to a door handle, a shelf edge, a chair back or a ceiling hook, and the elastic is what makes it work: every swipe sends the ball bouncing and recoiling unpredictably instead of just swinging on a fixed arc. The bell rings on contact, which keeps a cat re-engaging with it long after the movement has stopped.

The whole thing weighs almost nothing, so a kitten can move it as easily as a full grown cat, and the foam is soft enough to take repeated bites without splitting. Feathers trigger the same overhead stalking instinct that a wand toy does, but this version hangs on its own — which means the cat can play unsupervised while you are working, and you are not the one holding the stick for twenty minutes. Untie it and it becomes a floor toy that skitters. Available in two colourways: pink rainbow, and teal with blue, green and yellow feathers.
