Spiky Rubber Dental Ring

A translucent rubber chew ring covered in short conical nubs, moulded in one piece with no seams, glue or fittings that can work loose. The nubs run right around the outer face, both flat sides and the inner bore, so wherever the dog bites, the surface is working: the points press into the gum line and rub along the tooth as the jaw closes, dislodging soft plaque before it hardens. The rubber has real give — squeeze it and the spikes flatten out and spring back — which is what keeps it comfortable on sore gums rather than being another hard object to grind against.

The ring shape is the practical part. It is easy for a dog to pick up off a flat floor, easy to hook a finger through for tug, and light enough to skim across grass when you throw it, so one toy covers chewing, fetch and tug without needing three. Suited to puppies through to medium adult dogs and to moderate chewers rather than committed destroyers. Available in translucent pink, blue, green and orange. Wash in warm soapy water or on the top rack of a dishwasher; inspect it regularly and replace it once the nubs are chewed flat or the ring shows a split.
