Slicker Brush and Steel Comb Set

A two piece grooming set for dogs and cats: a wide head slicker brush and a stainless steel finishing comb. The brush carries a densely packed bed of fine angled steel pins set into a soft flexible cushion, so the pins give under pressure rather than dragging at the skin. The head is oversized — roughly the width of a palm — which halves the number of passes needed on a long coated dog, and it sits on a curved neck that keeps your wrist neutral while you work. The handle is a moulded two part grip with a ribbed rubber overlay down both faces and a hanging hole at the base, and it holds securely whether your hands are dry, damp or covered in loose coat.

The comb is a single piece of polished stainless steel with a solid spine and two pin spacings along its length: wider teeth at one end for working through the body coat, narrower at the other for face, ears, legs and the fine areas where mats start. Used in sequence, the brush lifts and separates the undercoat and the comb confirms the work — if the comb passes cleanly root to tip, the coat is genuinely free of tangles rather than just smooth on the surface. Suits medium to long coats and double coated breeds. Rinse both under warm water, shake dry and store the comb spine down so the teeth stay true.
