Under it sits a ruched mesh corset top with a boned sweetheart bust, fine spaghetti straps and a body that fades from bright lime through moss to charcoal, gathered in horizontal pleats that pull the waist in. The trousers are wide leg cotton twill in acid lime, hand dyed so the darker olive blooms across the fabric differently on every pair, with a straight high rise, five pockets and a squared crop at the ankle.

Bought together the pieces read as one look, but none of them is dependent on the others. The blazer is the anchor and goes over jeans or a plain black dress without argument; the corset works alone with tailoring for evening; the trousers hold their own against a white tee and boots. Nothing is printed, branded or logoed anywhere on the set — the dye and the proportion carry it. Blazer and corset are dry clean only. Wash the trousers cold, alone, inside out for the first three cycles: the dye is reactive and will run onto anything pale sharing the drum.
